What's the best product for that "dry hair" look?

I have short black hair and I like the messy-looking hair style. Right now I use Alterna Hair Concrete. I am pretty satisfied with this product except that I don't like how it kind of makes my hair hard to mess with once it's been in my hair for a few hours. I need something with a strong hold and I've tried using American Crew Pomade and VO5's Play It Again! Putty which seemed close to what I am looking for except that it wasn't strong enough to hold my hair up and the Pomade left my hair greasy and kind of wet looking.

I don't want products that will make my hair look wet and I'm looking for something that will also allow me to mess with my hair again if I need to.

The absolute best is a product called Texture Dirt from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Walgreens. I think Wal-Mart may carry it also. You'll love it!
