you can do whatever you want to it if it real hair. but it requires upkeep too. go to a wig maker store or call them to find out how. i have a merle nroman near me idk if you do, but if you do call them they should be able to tell you

Well, it depends what kind of wig it is. If it was made from real hair then yes. However, i do not think with fake hair that it is possible.
