My hair is always dry unless I don't wash it for 2-3 days... what can I do to keep my hair hydr

Even after washing it? I've used Pantene Pro-V "hydrating" shampoos and others, but they all make my hair dry!

Any other suggestions? Anything I can eat? Drink? Lol, thanks!

My hair is always dry unless I don't wash it for 2-3 days... what can I do to keep my hair hydrated even ... ?

I have this problem!!

Only WASH your hair 2 times a week...if you need to wet it (in order to style it or whatever) just rinse and put in conditioner. Use a leave in conditioner too, and or a shine spray. But only use shampoo 2 times per week.

try to leave in just a little conditoner after you get outta the shower. maybe get a gloss that keeps your hair shiny and smooth. it may make it feel better. pantene actually has parafin wax which, with over use, can be heavy and excessivly build-up, maybe try a clarifying treatment, a deep condtioner and some smoothing products

well obviously the 8 or more glasses of water a day... but try leave in conditioners.

I use john freeda's frizz ease after towel drying my hair. It's great. I also have a hair mask that leaves hair soft. Mash up 1 banana, add 3 tablespoons mayo and 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil. Mix well and apply to hair. Cover hair with plastic wrap and leave it on 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse and shampoo as usual. The potassium and vitamin A makes the hair healthy and shiny.

If you wash your hair, then while still in the shower, rub (about a quarter size puddle in your hand) baby oil really well in your hair, make sure it get all over your hair, and then rince, your hair will be soft and hydrated for several days. Do this once a week, and I think you'll like the way your hair looks and feels. Baby oi is a very thin oil that will rince clean, Unlike other oils. Your hair won't feel greasy unless you use way to much and don't rinse well. just a little, work it in well, and then rince well.

The only thing I've ever found that worked was combing in a leave-in conditioner spray, after shampooing %26amp; regular conditioning during washing. As for diet I don't think that's had much effect on the dryness of my hair, usually the length had more to do with it. If I let it grow too long it gets very dry.

Aussie Mosist, shampoo and conditioner seem to work for me. Dont blow-dry just let it dry own it's own.

Leave the conditioner in your hair for over 2 minutes. You could also try leave-in conditioner and the V05 hot oil treatment kind of "revives" your hair and makes it look less dry/dead

Healthy hair tips:

Use a moisturizing shampoo condtioner and leave in creme. I reccomened Neutrogena Triple Moisture, shampoo conditioner and deep recovery hair mask. It nourishes and

revitalizes dry dull damaged hair to softer shinier healthier hair everytime you wash it, it might cost alot but it's worth it;

Reviews:

Neutrogena.com

If you dye your hair alot, leave your hair alone and wait to dye it atleast 3 years later or so. Hair dye has terrible chemicals that kill dry/damage your hair.

Brush your hair before shampooing and conditioner so your hair won't be tangeled and managable.

Comb your hair about 20 times each side so your natural oils can fall into the rest of your hair for natural shine

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week, Washing hair everyday strips the natural oils of your hair into duller dry hair.

Discontinue to heat style your hair or your hair will end up more dry/damaged, wait till it's completely healthy and maybe heat style once a week.

Avoid combing hair while wet, gently use a wide tooth comb, hair is very vulnerable while wet and can break off easily.

Don't put your hair into pigtails, buns or ponytails while wet, that causes split ends, breakage and damage.

Deep condition twice a week to bring back moisture to your hair.

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks to promote healthy hair grow and prevent split ends from happening.

While shampooing massage your scalp with your fingertips slowly, not with your nails, nails damage the scalp and nails tend to be dirty. it's not necessary to shampoo the ends, then rinse with warm water to open the hair cuticles.

While conditioner leave on for about 2-4 minutes so you can get great results then comb hair with wide tooth comb then rinse with very cold water to help seal the hair cuticles.

If you use gel/hairspray/moose stop using them. They damage and dry up your hair because of the alchohol it contains.

If you use heat appliaces (blowdryers, curling irons, hair straightener) use a heat protecter spray so it'll protect your hair from heat.

If hair is really dry, go to the salon to get a deep treatment on your hair.

Once a month use a special deep conditioning treatment like olive oil, vitamin e oil, mayonaisse, eggs, hot oil treatment, castor oil, coconut oil almond oil or avocado.

Take multivimains, vitamin e, follic acid or prenatal vitamins to promote healthy hair growth.

Drink lots of water for shinier/healthier hair and eat lots of protein and healthy food like meat, milk, cheese, peanut butter, eggs pasta, cooked beans and raw vegetables.

If your in the sun alot buy a cap or a hoodie to protect your hair from the sun, heat damages and drys out your hair.

Buy a leave-in-conditioner/leave-in conditioner/creme to moisturize your hair all day long and don't rinse.

After your out of the shower set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdryer your hair for 2 minutes, this will help seal the hair cuticles for a smooth shiny surface.

While combing hair, comb it gentle to avoid breakage.

I have dry wavy hair and when ever i bye something for it it never works i anybody have some ideas?

go to the hairdresser and get them to do a treatment to it and find out what they use and buy their product.

I have dry wavy hair and when ever i bye something for it it never works i anybody have some ideas?

what kind of products are you BUYing? serum, mousse, gel, etc.?

and what kind of hair do you have? thick, thin, straight, wavy, etc.? please add in the additional details so i can give you a better answer.

I have dry wavy hair and when ever i bye something for it it never works i anybody have some ideas?

The best thing to do, is just not use any products at all! Natural always looks best, but when you want a little cahnge, this is what i do

Even if it sounds very weird, its very simple and works all the time.

All you need is:

-a round brush (or any type)

-A blow dryer (any type also)

-little hair clips (no one will see them, its just for the process)

First you blow dry your hair, the point is not to get it straight, because thats nearly impossible to do when you have wavy hair, its only to get it dry and soft.

To do it, you divide your hair in 2 sections thru the middle of your head, like 2 pony tails. You tie up one of the 2 parts (youll do that one after)

You take the piece of hair that you did not tie up, and take the lower hair on it and dry it with the blow dryer and the round brush (sort of like what the hair dressers do when they blow dry your hair, but it wont look as nice)

Follow me up to here?

When you blowdried the bottom part fully, its kindof straight, not rly, but at least its COMPLETELY dried. You take it and twist it in your fingers a lot, so it does a little twisted piece of hair (i know its not that clear, but try doing it with your hair, youll understand) and then you tie it up to your head with a clip (tightly so the hair wont untwist)

Then you take the top still wet part of your head, divide in 2 again, and do the same process. You do the same for the other side of the head and even the bangs.

When your all done, let it sit for not even 5 min, and take the clips out. You'll have hair looking like you came out of a medieval film for a second, but run your fingers through it, and youll have nice not straight, but not curly and not wavy. Sort of like jessica simpson's hair.

I got that trick from my hair dresser, because i told her i was hopeless in hair tricks, and for that, you dont need any skills, it looks complex and hard but it really isnt. And I my hair goes to my middle back (its pretty long) and the whole process takes less than 30 min.

Afterwards. you can simply straighten your bangs, but leave them some volume

For the dry hair, use very little shampoo, but tonns of conditionner (pantene 4X the moisture works pretty well)

Hope it helps!

and if you have any questions you can email me!

I have dry wavy hair and when ever i bye something for it it never works i anybody have some ideas?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

I get out of the shower at like 8:30ish then when I go to bed my hair is basically dry which is like 11:30ish.

How long does it take curly hair to dry?

How long does it take curly hair to dry?

it takes a while because me and my mom have really curly hair with no perm it looks like it but we dont but anyways it takes like two and a half to three hours. Also NEVER blow dry it it will be so frizzy and you will look like you are from a horror/scay movie.

Problems with dry and curly/frizzy hair?

What products can help my hair become more soft and straighten it up a bit? I really want long hair, but I would look like a monster with this hair. So, any suggestions that can put my hair in order?

Problems with dry and curly/frizzy hair?

i would either use garnier fructis sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner or herbal essences dangerously straight shampoo and conditioer. dont use sunislk, i tried it ebfore and it doesnt work. it actrually made my hair mroe frizzy. also try putting dove anti-frizz cream in your hair and then use a straightening iron on it. the shampoos, conditioners, and creams i listed before aere available at wal-mart, k-mart, walgreens, cvs, etc. you can buy a straightener at wal-mart, JCPenney, or any local hair slaon. good luck! 閳?br>

Sunsilk. Period.

Problems with dry and curly/frizzy hair?

put in garnieir fructis anti-frizz serum after that blow dry it and straighten it!(with a flat iron.):P

Problems with dry and curly/frizzy hair?

frizz ease

Problems with dry and curly/frizzy hair?

i can suggest you shampoo Dove for (dry %26amp; damege hairs) but one thing more before hair wash or taking bathe u may put some olive oil in your hairs and do massage for 5 to 10 minutes and then after 30 minutes minimum you wash your hairs or if you want to keep that for more times that is ok its good for hairs so dont worry and try to do this practice twice a week

Problems with dry and curly/frizzy hair?

garnier fructis. my hair used to frizz outta control. fructis made it a lot more manageable. its made my hair stronger and smoother.

Problems with dry and curly/frizzy hair?

Burt's Bees avocado and rosemary pre-shampoo stuff. It works really well.

There are so many fine products on the market. And most of them work equally well. but you have to make sure that you start with a good shampoo, (stay away from cheapies, they can make your problem worse) the second thing is a good conditioner. Also try hot oil treatments 1-2 times a week. this gives your hair more strength and more flexibility. as far as being able to manage your hair, use a good mouse' treatment or some type of styling gel. Put a fairly good amount into the palm of your hand, and rub your hands together, spreading the treatment to both of your hands. And then massage both hands through your hair. Blow dry your hair with a large drying brush and turning the dry on the next to highest heat. Don't dry on hot this will help continue to dry out your hair. and you don't need this. You also could try using a hair straightener, sometimes this will help make your hair more manageable.- Good luck and Happy Styling!!

I have that same problem, thanks to hair colorants and rebonding techniques! One day, my friend told me to try apply yoghurt on the hair. I've tried it, my hair feels softer and not so dry %26amp; brittle anymore...Well, u gotta try at least once a week for months to achieve the desired result. Good luck trying!

p/s : Don't get the flavoured yoghurt for your hair please...

warm about 1/2 a cup of olive oil in the microwave and put it on your hair. cover in plastic wrap and leave for 15-30 minutes. then shampoo (twice perhaps if it still feels a bit oily). don't apply conditioner. hope that helps :D

I have a combination of dry curly hair. I find that John Frieda curl around or straighten up shampoos %26amp; conditioners, followed by the Umberto California spray on, leave in conditioner and John Frieda Downplay (to depouf) work about as well as anything. The trick is to use all the Frieda products from the beginning to the end.

If nothing else, the Umberto California leave in conditioner is great for apre shampoo. You can find it at Target.

i want SMOOTH HAIR

How do i fix my hair,i had gotten layers and bangs- huge mistake because now i want my hair even. plus its dry

Bangs are really in this spring, as long as you dont have 12 year old bangs. You need the longer, side-swept bang to look hot. Layers usually look better once they start growing out. Chances are, if you just cut your hair in the last 2 days, you will need to get used to it. Bobs are really cute, and feel sexy. Cutting it so short sounds dramatic, but I have done it a few times and I always loved it. (Ihave always had very long hair otherwise) If the bands are long, and your hair is short, you can have them razor the 2 together, so it looks more unified. If your hair is dry, try using Garnier Fructisse Sleek N Shine. I use it to sleek out my hair. It also leaves it shiny. Never leaves your hair oily looking. If you dont want the sleek look, there are other ones for different hair types. It comes in a little round bottle and is very cheap. Good luck.

vitamin e is good for the hair

it is moisturizing

and vitamin a

is good for the scalp

and healthy hair growth

protein makes ur hair grow faster than anything else because

hair is basically made of protein

so

eat eggs.. and dairy products

yogurt, milk, soymilk, and tofu are great examples

citrus fruits are also good for the hair.. and seaweed has a lot of vitamin a. vitamin a can be found in leafy veggies and carrots, especially. it is important to drink enough water to keep ur hair hydrated. 8-10 glasses is suggested for healthy hair growth. also, iron plays an important role in maintaining and growing healthy hair. iron brings oxygen to the hair, allowing it to breathe like us basically

(not the same way obviously)

and so if u dont take enough iron.. ur hair will be starved of oxygen and lose its shine, luster, etc.

b vitamins are also great for the hair. salmon, coldwater fish, and sardines are great fish that contain many of the vitamins hair needs.

i hope this information helped you!!
