Is it better to dry african america hair with a hand blow dryer or a hair dryer that you sit under?

A hand blow dryer so you can brush it at the same time to avoid tangles, and a good conditioner after shampooing helps a great deal.

It is better with the dryer that you sit under but of course it all depends on the techniques.

When you do it sitting under the dryer, the hair should be wrapped around obviously (or in curlers, this is better) and the drying should take no more than 25 minutes if your hair is chin or neck length.

With a hand dryer, you should move it around your hair continously, sometimes letting it be on cool mode. Also, it doesn't need all parts of the hair to be perfectly dry; hand dryers can fry the hair like this. The best thing to do before (which i do) is use a leave in conditioner and wrapping lotion. OR, what i did last night which was not to dry my hair but just wrap it and let it dry overnight. In the morning, you might need to use a hand dryer for 2 minutes tops and then style as usual with or without a flat iron. Of course, don't forget the hair lotion/cream/whatever. I use Garnier Fructis' Sleek and Shine leave-in conditioning cream (different from an actual conditioner). It works great!
