I have long curly, wavy, thick hair. When i shower i always condition it and comb it out. It is so tangly and it takes me a while to comb all the tangles out. Even when its dry its hard to brush. I need something to put on it in the shower and then when i get out to leave in it thats not sticky.

deep condition oonce a week. i would suggest using hair mayonaisse. you could get it at stores like walmart. you could also your your regular home mayonaisse its really good for your hair. let it stand in your hair for like 10-20 minutes. (its just once a week so take the time)
and for everyday use, pantene has a leave on spray conditioner.

best ever is Redkin Anti Snap for a leave in conditioner...

have you ever tried a serum? they work great to keep your hair conditioned without being too weighted, also gives the hair tons of shine. I would try Frizz Ease (not too expensive, but if you like the stuff I would go with a more expensive brand, there is a difference, like Lancome has a serum that is great). But, like with any conditioner, steer clear of the roots / top of hair. That area is usually more conditioned anyway due to natural oils...

I have thick and wavy hair and I have had it long for 7+ years. The trick to not looking "undone" is product and cut. My advise would be to expirament with glossers and leave in conditioners. The two best brands (for the buck) are Frizz Ease and Rendkin.
hope this helps
