How do u revitalize dry/damaged, previously colored hair?

I have dyed my hair for about 5 years. Result, it's damaged and frizzy. What are some really good shampoos %26amp; conditioners that will restore hair proteins? I know sea kelp and seaweed are good for the hair. But what brands of seaweed shampoos are good?

Regular shampooing and applying conditioners won't be of much help in your condition. I suggest that you get a hair relax and treat your hair with what they call a "power dose". Hairdressers at saloons know that kind of treatment. After that you can maintain it by applying a good herbal shampoo and conditioner that suits you.

Hey, I have done the same thing, use Infusion 23 shampoo and get the conditioner as well , put a spray top on it and leave in hair... It will help. and Leave the color off for a couple of months. Good luck ,

i have the same problem.my hair is VERY damaged, it breaks off all the time. first of all, unless your hair is oily or gets dirty very quickly, only wash it 2-3 times a week, and definately dont use heat on it every day. in the shower, i either use garnier fructis, which i found works very well for my hair, or recently tigi catwalk shampoo and conditioner. i also use pantene deep conditioner everytime i wash my hair. after the shower, i use leave in conditioner and either a shine serum, or a blowdry/heat spray. it sounds like a lot, but it really helps..just dont use too much. and make sure to get your hair trimmed at least every 2 months. i made the mistake of not, and i have the same problem as you. another tip: if you are coloring your hair at home, get your color from a beauty supply store, such as sallys, and a semi-permenant hair color, because it is less damaging. hope this helps!

Sadly, when you hair is hanging out there on your head the only thing that repairs damage is a haircut..The hair will continue to split up the shaft til you cut off the split ends...You can use any oil in your kitchen(I prefer olive oil) soak the ends...wrap your head in any old plastic bag(print will come of on skin) and wait as long as you can stand it...wash as usual...

read labels...a shampoo that costs $20 is no better than one that costs $2 if the ingredients are the same...hair shiners are drying...hair smoothers will help with the frizz but you will be washing more often and water and shampoo dry the hair...just get an half inch off every 6 weeks and you'll be able to stand it in no time...

You should try Aveda's Damage Remedy products, it's really good for damaged hair.

Besides, I would add a hair treatment once a week to the hair, put the treatment on your hair, say 1-2 hours instead of 5-15 mins said in the instruction, it really makes the differences.
