It sounds like you need the right moisture balance restored. Using a good conditioner is going to be key in restoring and/or repairing you hair to where you want it to be.

moisturizing/ hydrating shampoo. get conditioning treatments. use heat protectants w/e blow drying flat ironing etc. dont color your hair for awhile. or b4 u get in the pool spray in a leave in conditioner.

there are so many shampoos and conditioners out there that can help replenish hair. i straighten my hair everyday, so of course my hair is really dried out and i have many split ends. . i use pantene pro v time renewal and it works really good .. i get compliments on my hair all the time about how people love it and stuff.. so use that.. but you have to use it constantly for it to work..

There are some excellent conditioners that provide repair for over processed or chemically treated hair. Paul Mitchell has a great line that can be purchased at a beauty supply.

Hot oil treatments are also good home remedies if you can't get to a salon.

But the best thing to do is to go to a hair care specialist and get a deep conditioning treatment. There may be issues witht he Ph balance and only a hair care specialist can diagnose the problem.

I recommend Dove Shampoo and Conditioner. Leave the conditioner on fo like 2 minutes and it'll get ur hair really soft. And if you curl/ straighten ur hair, [or do anything that involves heat] use the heat protecters. Also, don't dye ur hair too much.

I'm using "Olive Oil Replenishing Pack" sold at Walmart in the ethnic hair care section. It is sold in square packs around 99 cents per pack. I can have 2 treatments out of one pack but my hair is thin. Super moisturizing, I wrap a warm moist towel and leave on 45 minutes. Use several times a week until your hair is back in condition. Use a product called KPAC. You might have to get it from a salon, but it is great stuff for damaged hair!

If you cant get that, then I would shampoo and condition with a moisturizing or repairitive product that you can find in any drug store, Wal Mart or Target.

If you can get Biolage Hydrating that is good stuff too.

There are all kinds of treatments out there that are helpful for this type of hair.
