My hair is extremely dry. when i wash it after 2 hours its rock hard and puffy. what can i do, pleas

after washing my hair it soon goes rock hard. only after around 3 days does it return to normal and look thin and that is because its slightly greasy. my hair is straight and slightly long(im a male by the way). it combs normally usually, but after washing it just looks awful. even after putting gel and lots of water it still goes bad after a few hours although the revoery time (3 days) is slightly improved. does anyone have any help on the matter. e.g conditioners, and how exactly you use them. as i use head and shoulders which isnt a separate conditioner.

Try a moisturizing product. Check out the selection at your closest salon and/or spa, as they carry high-end products that you cannot find at dept. stores.

BTW - I have heard that Head %26amp; Shoulders is notoriously BAD for your hair, but I don't necessarily know if that it true.

Have you tried a revitalizing or moisturizing shampoo and conditioner? Seperates are the best. Also, you might try a weekly treatment for damaged hair. You normally leave them on 3-5 minutes then wash them out.

Try using a couple of warm TBS olive oil through your hair.

Wrap with moist warm towel for half hour or so. Then shampoo with mild shampoo. Do this once a week. Great to re-condition hair and take that rock hard out. Old fashion remedy my mom used. She had gorgious long auburn hair that would shine after these treatments. Try it!

don't use head%26amp;shoulders. use for example sunsilk shampoo and conditioner for straight hair (it's purple). it'll help you, i'm sure!

Conditioner will be my answer for your problem. There are two types of conditioner generally. The one that you use after you rinse the shampoo from your head. It works like this: you wash your hair with shampoo, rinse it well, apply the conditioner, leave it as long as instructed, then rinse the conditioner well.

The other type is more simple and I think is more suitable for male. This one is called leave-out conditioner. It works like this: after you rinse your shampoo off your head, dry your hair a bit, apply this conditioner, and tidy up your hair. Done.

It's better not using 2 in 1 shampoo (shampoo and conditioner in one bottle). They are not quite good. And perhaps you can spare your time to give your hair extra treatment regularly. I know most male do not pay attention on this but look the environment we live in nowadays. Besides there are many self-doing products now in which you can do the treatment by yourself at home (I use body shop products).

You probably need to use a deep conditioner or a hot oil treatment in your hair every week, to fix your hair. What do you mean by not really damaged. You should get your hair trimed every 6 weeks, to keep it healthy. Use a shampoo and conditioner designed for dry hair along with the deep conditioner. Try blow drying your hair instead of letting it dry naturally. um rinsing your hair in luke warm water might help too.
